Dear Mr. Fleisher, I understand that you are resigning and really hate to see you go. I think that you have done a marvelous job for our President and this country. Your successor has huge shoes to fill! Good luck in your new position where I am sure you will be a tremendous assett.

I am crushed to hear of Ari's resignation! Ari, you are the man! I wouldn't be able to put up with Helen Thomas for one hour none the less a couple of years! You will be sorely missed. You da man!

I just read the news today that Ari Fleischer will be leaving his position in July. I must admit I am heart broken! He has truly done an incredible job and has always been able to put things into perspective not to mention that he has always been able to make a point clear and be able to explain a current situation to the point without trying to impress or be the center of attention which seems to be what most speakers/politicians do 24/7. I have been amazed at the way he presents the topics to the public in a way that reflects professionalism and honesty. During one of his press meetings shortly after 9/11 my daughter, who is Home Schooled, walked into the room just as it began. She sat quietly by my side and listened to what he had to say. As a Mom I was so proud to know that Mr. Fleischer was the person speaking to the press and into our homes. That day my daughter was able to let a lot of her fears subside after hearing this man speak with his honestly, to the point answers and the way he reflected his patriotism by his unwavering presentation. (Even with some of the stupid and often offending questions regarding the situation at hand) Thank you for coming into our homes and informing our nation with a professionalism and pride that can be so hard to find on TV today. You have impacted not only myself but my daughter. You have truly set a superb standard as a Press Secretary. I wish you well in what ever you choose to do and I am sure you will go far and succeed with a pride that many cannot. Your shoes will be hard to fill. May God bless you and be with you always!

I was so sad this morning when I heard Ari was resigning. I think he is the BEST presidential spokesman I have ever heard. I tried to catch his morning briefing Monday thru Friday. I was so pleased to see and hear him. He is so very bright, extremely intelligent, and tremendously well prepared. I admire him greatly. My husband does also. He takes a beating at every press conference. I can't fault him for wanted to go to the private sector. I wish he and his new wife every happiness.

Sorry to hear the Ari is leaving the Bush administration. Hopefully we will get to see him in his work in the public sector. He is the best!

Thank you Ari for restoring integrity to the White House, you have done as much in this area as President Bush himself. You were in perhaps the greatest hotspot in America, dealing with public opinion and the media is often difficult, but you my friend handled it wisely. Do not let the media's loud mouth drown out the silent respect of the masses. The media is often cruel and they love to try to destroy greatness. New York Senator Ari Fleischer sounds good to me. He would make a wonderful Senator and replace Hillary Clinton who is the worst Senator New York has had the misfortune to experience. I as a registered Democrat voted for the Republican candidate. Ari Fleischer has the makings of a great leader and his tenure as the Senator from New York would be wonderful for our state and for our city. If he has not considered running for the Senate, it is time we inspired him to do so. I am a lifelong registered Democrat and would either change my party affiliation or begin a Democrats for Ari Fleischer campaign and I know many people who feel the same. New York desperately needs the leadership Ari Fleischer has demonstrated almost daily at the President's press conferences. Also, I am voting for the President in the next election. I can't believe you are leaving us Ari. I am distraught here lamenting your resignation. I love Scott but I just don't think anyone else can patronize Helen like you can. Can you at least come by the briefs and keep her in her seat?

As a proud Republican and as a Proud American, I'm going to miss Ari. He did his job well and he represented our President very well. I hope that his replacement will be Victoria Clark. She has the same qualities and she has proven that she can represent President Bush very well. she can handle the press with no problem and she can certainly handle the ultra liberal hawks who are out to twist what President Bush is really trying to say or demonstrate. I heard about Mr. Fleischer leaving his position. I know since he already announced it it's probably too late but hopefully we could sway him to come back ASAP if we do a petition and send it to him. It is unfortunate that a man an intelligent, eloquent and in control is stepping down from the position of press secretary. He was able to stay calm and un flappable during his commission at the White House. He will never be replaced. I wish only for his success and occasional glimpse of him in Westchester when he is settled in his new life there. But I have always wondered...boxers or briefs...or tighty-whitys?

It seems at times they are just "looking for one little weak link in the Bush administration's armour" so they can criticize the president and stir up the anti-war and anti-Bush contingencies. I'm a 40-something mom of three and I think Ari is the best Press Secretary I ever remember. There have been some good ones and some truly awful ones, but Ari is one of those rare individuals who seem to have it all -- brains, humor, patience and confidence without arrogance. Well I thought I was the only one who appreciated Ari Fleischer but I see that I am in good company! Like others I just love the way he is totally unflappable and quick on his feet. I will actually miss Helen Thomas because I just love the way Ari handles her annoying questions. Don't you picture Ari being a cute little nerdy guy in high school, with thick glasses, and a protractor and a calculator in his shirt pocket? I'll bet he plays a mean game of chess. I just want to say, I have so much respect and admiration for Ari Fleischer. I don't know how he is able to think and react so well under such great pressure. I think Ari Fleischer should be commended for the professional manner in which he handles white house press releases. How he can maintain this in the face of the many stupid, redundant, anti-American and bush bashing questions from various members of the press is a wonder indeed.

I am captivated by Ari. He is as cool as a cucumber under pressure and even when reporters have those long, stupid, rambling questions...he cuts through the fog and answers the real question, never getting flustered or annoyed. I would go to work and ramble on about how these idiots would ask the most ridiculous questions and Ari would just tilt his head and completely blow them out of the water in his ever so brilliant way! To say that I am amazed and impressed at the way Ari is consistently in complete control of his temper and attitude while responding to any of Helen Thomas' verbal attempts at self-glorification is an understatement. This pathetic little gnome, though truly infuriating, is nonetheless a hopelessly obsolete, lamentably ignorant, excuse for a real reporter. Just knowing that the camera may inadvertantly pan across her scowling visage during a televised White House Briefing sends chills down my spine. If someone were to take her brain and put in on the sharp edge of a razor blade, it would probably look like a BB running down a four-lane highway!

I have to say that Mr. Fleischer is of the "coolest" men I have ever seen. I love his wit most of all, I think he would have had an excellent career as a stand-up comedian. Hecklers would not have stood a chance. He gives Canadians like me hope that not all politicians are spineless Liberals.

Hi, I wandered in via Fox News site and had to drop a line. I think Ari is Great! He must have the patience of a Saint to put up with the "unbiased" media morons who ask the same stupid questions over and over. He must go back to office and scream....or laugh. I say laugh, especially at that thing called Helen. For a post I saw....yes he is married (recently) and was brought up Democrat. I too will agree, there is most certainly something about Ari. He has patience truly worthy of an award of some kind. I personally would have been fired a very long time ago for NOT being able to maintain professionalism in dealing with those OMG annoying reporters. I can't tell you many times I have had turn the TV off because I got so frustrated with the absurdity and repetaion of the s-a-m-e questions over and over.
