A Disappointing Message for Dave
Dave I have to admit that I'm extremely disappointed in your speaking out against the President and addressing his policy as "un-american". While your actions certainly classify worthy of being added to the traitor list, in our great respect for your music and lyrics, we will postpone your being added to the traitor list.
We thought you knew what was going on around here Dave. We're not prepared to go into great detail explaining all the wisdom about life you already understand. But we are asking you to reconsider. You of all people understand how cyclic it is. We're asking you to follow through with your thoughts. But come out of the circumstance of the scene and pull out and eyeball the big pic. We're already in the middle of something that was started a long time ago. The scene in America today is such a small slice of the picture. Those thoughts you've always ignored. You know they're true Dave.
We're asking you to finish your thought process all the way through. Nobody wants to think about children dying. As far as this war being an excuse to repair our economy and secure our oil, than you haven't been doing the right research. In terms of oil, we're sitting pretty good. Stop watching the evening news unless you're ready to watch it like you used to. Like we've said this war is long overdue unfinished business that is most likely only really fully understandable by our top dogs like Kissinger and the likes. But you know what Dave. They won WWII, and they were the good guys. But since then the enemy has drifted amongst us in our very own ranks. So much so that our leaders find it impossible to accomplish good "American Policy". This is all very vague, but we know you'll get the jist of it.
And what happens when someone who can change this country for the better comes along. He gets his good name slammed by the enemy among us. Stole the election. How brazen a claim. Al Gore's father knows a thing or two about robbing elections BLIND. Well Bush is changing this country, and if you don't understand some of the finer points about what's going on then we're going to have politely ask you to keep out of it. Read, read, read Dave. The history, find out where we are up to this point, and it will all make alot of sense. In fact it will make an excellent song. You know there just isn't enough history in lyrics these days. Your talent is a gift to us all, keep on busting out the great tunes. God Bless you and the band, and God Bless America.
